Our NEW Reformer Membership has been created to help you make Reformer a regular part of your fitness routine.

Reformer Pilates offers a low-impact, full-body workout designed to build strength, improve flexibility and support overall wellbeing. Led by expert instructors and delivered on specialist reformer machines, these classes provide a controlled, effective workout suitable for all fitness levels.

Located in Renfrewshire, just outside Glasgow, Bowfield Health Club offers access to premium Reformer Pilates classes in a calm, supportive environment.

Please note that, outside the Reformer Membership, classes are exclusive to Bowfield Health Club members and are priced at £18 per session. Class Packs are also available to purchase via the FitSense app.

What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a form of Pilates performed on a specialist machine called a reformer. Our state-of-the-art Reformer Pilates machines go far beyond the traditional setup. Unlike traditional Reformer machines that rely on springs, ours use bodyweight resistance, featuring adjustable incline, a smooth glide board, and dynamic cable resistance, allowing for a wider variety of Reformer Pilates classes.

This style of Pilates focuses on core strength, posture, balance and flexibility, while remaining gentle on the joints - making it ideal for members of all ages and abilities.

What to Wear & Bring to Reformer Pilates

For Reformer Pilates classes at Bowfield Health Club, we recommend wearing fitted, comfortable activewear that allows for ease of movement and proper alignment during exercises. Grip socks are required for safety and hygiene, and are available to purchase at our retail stand if you do not already own a pair. Long hair should be tied back for comfort throughout the session, and bringing a water bottle is advised to stay hydrated during your low-impact, full-body Reformer Pilates workout.

Our Reformer classes offers a wide range of benefits, including improved core strength, flexibility, posture, joint stability, and balance. It’s low-impact and suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

No experience is required. Reformer is suitable for all ages, abilities, and fitness levels. Exercises can be modified for beginners, advanced practitioners, and those recovering from injury.

As this is an added specialist experience to our Health Club, these classes will be priced separately from your membership (included in our Reformer Membership).

TO PURCHASE A REFORMER CLASS CREDIT:

  • Log in to Fitsense App 

  • Go to online store

  • Purchase Bowfield Reformer session

  • Press check out

  • Press pay now 

TO BOOK IN FOR A REFORMER CLASS USING YOUR CREDIT:

  • Go back to home screen

  • Go to book

  • Go to drop down and select ‘Reformer Studio’ 

  • Find session you want to use credit against

  • Book session 

Credits must be purchased first via the online store before booking a Reformer class. You can keep track of your class credits via the 'Manage bookings’ tab at top right of the app - this will show you all your booked, attended, and remaining class credits.

Additionally, our Health Club team can manually book your class if you are having any trouble booking. 

Classes can be booked 7 days in advance. 

Yes, we offer class packs for those wanting to make Reformer a regular part of their routine:

10 classes – £17.50 per class

20 classes – £16.50 per class

There is no expiry date on our Reformer Class Packs, meaning that once purchased, you can book your classes flexibly to suit your schedule.

  • Press check out

  • Press pay now

TO BOOK IN FOR A REFORMER CLASS USING YOUR PACK:

  • Go back to home screen

  • Go to book

  • Go to drop down and select ‘Reformer Studio’ 

  • Find session you want to use credit against

  • Book session

Classes can be booked 7 days in advance. 

All classes run for 45 minutes. 

Wear comfortable, non-loose clothing that allows easy movement. For safety and hygiene, grip socks are required - available to purchase at our retail stand. Long hair should also be tied back with hair bands, not claw clips, as these can be uncomfortable when working out. 

For the best results, we recommend 2–3 classes per week, though even one session weekly can improve strength, mobility, and posture.

We recommend consulting with your doctor first. If you’re pregnant, please inform your instructor so they can provide modifications to ensure your safety and comfort.

We require at least 8 hours’ notice to cancel a pre-booked class.
 
Cancellations within the 8-hour window: Bookings are non-refundable, but you must still contact us, as the FitSense app will not allow cancellations within 8 hours of the class start time.
 
Cancellations outwith the 8-hour window: Contact us via phone or email after cancelling in the FitSense app to transfer the booking to another class.
