Cornhill Castle Unveils Elegant Wedding Pavilion Refurbishment

Complete with new flooring, ceiling panels, chandeliers and décor, the ceremony space has undergone a stunning transformation.

After teasing that an exciting change had arrived at the venue, we officially unveiled our stunning new look wedding Pavilion on Saturday 2nd May. Breaking the news with a video shared to social media, we revealed the beautiful new setting for wedding ceremonies – keep an eye out as we continue to share more!

Situated on the grounds, just off the Grand Ballroom, the Pavilion is eye-catching even from the first impression. The exterior now includes a white timber archway over the door, surrounded by a foliage installation of greenery and white flowers. It’s a glimpse of what’s to come once you step inside.

As the double doors open, you’re greeted by a beautiful wooden floor, in a herringbone design, with a defined aisle marked out in a basketweave pattern running along the length of the Pavilion.

The aisle leads up to two grand flower plinths, full of greenery and a variety of white flowers. Rows of chairs draped in white fabric line either side of the aisle, while the walls are draped in luxurious fabric. More white fabric cascades from the ceiling along with foliage and twinkling chandeliers, which are set against views of the sky and trees outside.

It’s a breathtaking sight and a truly exciting renovation, which could not have been achieved without our incredible in-house team and our amazing team of suppliers.

Changes to the space include:

  • New wooden floors

  • Clear ceiling panels to let the natural light in

  • New elegant chandeliers

  • Beautiful drapery along the walls and ceiling

  • Foliage draped from the ceiling

  • Stunning end-of-aisle floral display

  • A glass signing table

  • Exterior timber arch and foliage installation at the entrance

The ceremony space can accommodate up to 120 guests and is available for weddings year-round.

We’ve already hosted our first wedding in the new space and were thrilled by the response from the couple and the suppliers involved.

Ellie and John tied the knot on Saturday 2nd May, starting with a ceremony in the Pavilion and ending the day dancing in the Grand Ballroom. The couple were given a preview of the space the day before their wedding, and bride Ellie told us: “We felt so emotional seeing it for the first time as it’s everything we could have hoped for and more!"

“Walking in felt like a dream. It was so bright and spacious, and it just looked incredible on the day. The sun was shining through, and all the décor looked amazing.”

For couples, this is an exciting addition to the venue’s scenic grounds, Grand Ballroom, new bandstand, stylish Ghillie bar, and three-floor Honeymoon Suite.
