Whether you have been married abroad and want to have a home celebration or you’re getting married at a registry office and are looking for a reception venue, we have the perfect package for an evening of celebrating with your loved ones.

Your evening-only reception with us is a more relaxed celebration than a full wedding day, and you can make it your own. Unlike our other wedding packages, which include a ceremony and sit down meal, our Evening Reception Celebration Package is a post-ceremony party.

Enjoy a drinks reception, buffet and dancing, and make the most of golden hour evenings on our south-facing fairy-lit balcony, exclusively for you and your guests to spend time together.

Let the party continue until 1am and end the night in our luxurious Buchanan Honeymoon Suite.

Wedding Spaces Included In Your Package

Our Evening Reception Celebration Package gives you and your guests exclusive use of our Busby Suite and fairy-lit balcony for a sparkling evening reception. You’ll also be able to make use of our landscaped gardens for beautiful photos.

Your guests are welcome to make the most of the hotel’s modern bedrooms to stay over and continue the celebration, and our stunning Buchanan Honeymoon Suite is included in your package, for a luxurious first night as newlyweds. You’ll also get early access to the Honeymoon Suite from 12.30pm so you can take your time getting ready with your wedding party, soak in the excitement and get those all-important photos.

Typical Evening Reception Celebration Running Order

Our wedding team can help create a celebration that’s right for you as a couple, whether you want traditional elements such as cake cutting, speeches, and a first dance, or prefer a more relaxed, informal party. 

A typical evening reception at The Busby Hotel runs as follows: 

  • 12:30pm Early access to the Buchanan Honeymoon Suite to get ready

  • 7:30pm Guests arrive to a glass of bubbly

  • 8:30pm Cake cutting and speeches

  • 9pm First dance

  • 9:30pm Buffet served

  • 1am Finish
